I have been eyeing this quirky artwork print, Knuba 2010, for a LONG time! Every time I would see an image of it, it would make me smile. When I finally saw that Chris Loves Julia also had it in their home, I knew I just needed to purchase it! Our basement bathroom is tiny, and right above the toilet seems like the perfect place for this piece of artwork. I especially think it works in a casual, basement bathroom and will serve as a wonderful conversation piece! We have only one small egress window in our basement, so the natural lighting is slim to none. Excuse the glare on the art, there is no other way to take photos of it! Here are the details of how to incorporate quirky art work in a bathroom.
Sizing + Framing of Bathroom Art
The size I decided on is a 14 x 20 print on photo paper, with no frame. Having artwork framed is expensive and I knew I could find something on my own for much cheaper. When you order the print only, it will arrive to your home in a cardboard tube. Be sure to unroll it and set some large books in the corner for a few days to help it lay more flat. I ended up ordering a black floating frame for $14.
Hanging the Quirky Artwork Print
The frame comes with saw tooth hangers on the back, so I simply popped the art inside the frame and it was ready to be hung! Steve decided two nails were enough, so we didn’t have to mess with anchors and screws. We eyeballed the distance above the toilet, but Steve used a level to get the top even. This is a super easy project to complete!
This print is whimsical and playful and quirky and I love it! It pairs perfectly in our black and white bathroom! I love the fact that it is different and unexpected, which makes me happy. If you know my family, you know this is perfectly appropriate as well if you get what I mean! Ha! We are a family who doesn’t take ourselves very seriously, we laugh a lot and having a sense of humor is necessary!
I think this print would work well in any bathroom! There are several sizing options and framing options available.
Know that we have artwork in this tiny bathroom, I think I can officially call it good. I need to blog about all the details! What do you think? Would you ever put this quirky Knuba, 2010 artwork in your home? XO
