How to Make the Easiest Broccoli Salad
Ingredients
- 1 Bunch of broccoli
- 1 Cup cheddar cheese
- 1/4 Cup chopped red onion
- 8 Strips crispy bacon, chopped I always cheat and use precooked bacon and heat it in the microwave
- 1/4 Cup sunflower seeds
- 1/2 Cup mayo
- 1/4 Cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon red wine vinegar
Instructions
- Mix broccoli, cheese, red onion, bacon, and sunflower seeds in a bowl. Place in the fridge.
- Once ready to serve, combine dressing ingredients (mayo, sugar, red wine vinegar) and pour over broccoli mix right before serving.
Obviously you can make as much of this as you like! It’s really a throw some items together kind of dish. Add or remove items as you like, but the dressing that goes on top is the star of the show here!
This recipe has a hint of sweet with the sugar in the dressing, which in turn makes it delicious! And with all of the different colors, it looks so pretty and pleasing to the eye. The perfect side dish for summer!
You could also add Craisins for an additional ingredient for color and texture! I make this for my family to enjoy at home and I also make it to take to potlucks or cookouts. It’s always a crowd pleaser! I hope you enjoy this recipe on how to make the easiest broccoli salad. xo
