This recipe should hardly be called a “salad”, but it does have apples in it! I made this last year and tried it again recently with an added ingredient, a box of instant vanilla pudding. There is no way anyone can NOT like this “salad”! It’s basically a dessert. Here’s how to make Snickers and apple salad.
The kids and I went apple picking with friends a few weeks ago, and we picked a peck of apples. We ate most of them and I’m hoping to make an apple crisp out of the remaining ones. I also wanted to try this snickers and apple salad. Aside from the chopping, this recipe is easy and a definite crowd pleaser! This recipe makes a large portion, so it’s perfect for a get together or when you are entertaining. I’ve even made this as a sweet side for Thanksgiving before.
How to Make Snickers and Apple Salad
Ingredients
- 1 8 oz tub Cool Whip
- 1 small box instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup cold milk
- chopped Snickers (I used approximately 20 fun size)
- approx 5-8 chopped granny smith apples
Instructions
- First, add instant pudding mix into mixing bowl and pour in 1 cup cold milk. Mix well and let that chill while you chop apples and snickers.
- Next, chop Snickers bars into bite size pieces.
- Continue to chop apples into bite sized pieces.
- Grab your pudding mix from the fridge and fold in one 8 ounce container of Cool Whip into the pudding.
- Add Snickers and apples into the large bowl with pudding mixture. Make sure all pieces are coated. At this point you can add more apples and Snickers depending on how much mix you have left to coat. Chill until ready to serve!
Notes
This recipe is fun to make in the fall because of the apples but also to use up the leftover Halloween candy. The chocolate and peanuts mixed with the crunch of the apples is such a good combo! I hope you enjoyed this post and will try this snickers and apple salad – a crowd pleaser!

how well does this keep without the apples turning brown. I want to make it a day ahead for a potluck the next day.

From my experience, this salad is best when made and eaten in the same day. We have saved leftovers and eaten them the next day, and it's not near as good! I am sure it would be totally edible, just probably not as good! Hope this helps!
