I came across a reel about making homemade chicken minis and it seemed so easy! Spoiler alert, it was! This is hardly a recipe, but more of a way to throw a few store-bought ingredients together to make something most people love from Chik-fil-A. My 17 year old son in particular loves these, but they are so expensive when you account for how many he can eat. Making these at home is so much cheaper and taste so similar. Here’s how to make homemade Chik-fil-A Chicken Minis. And if you have never tried these, now’s your time!
Ingredients
Rolls: As referenced in the reel I watched, the key to this recipe is in the rolls. I found these frozen rolls at Walmart and were around $4. The brand is Sister Schubert’s Parker House Style Yeast Rolls.
Chicken: I used the Kirkland brand chicken breast chunks from Costco. We have these on hand at all times for easy lunches, dinners, etc. They cook in 10 minutes in the air fryer.
Honey Glaze: The Chik-fil-A chicken minis have a sweet glaze on the top of the biscuits. For this, simply add some butter and honey to a pan and melt together over low heat. I eyeballed this part. Just taste test and alter accordingly.
How To Make Homemade Chicken Minis
- Bake rolls according to the package instructions (different based on baking from frozen or thawed).
- In the meantime, air fry your chicken nuggets according to package instructions.
- Once rolls and chicken are done, add chicken inside the rolls.
- Brush the tops with the honey butter glaze, cover loosely with foil, and return to a warm oven to warm up a bit.
I told you these could not be easier! We had these as breakfast for dinner with eggs and a side of hash rounds. The hash rounds really make you feel like you’re at Chik-fil-A! Everyone in the family thought they were an excellent dupe of the original. Enjoy! XO
