How to Make Gooey Pecan Rolls

These gooey pecan rolls will always remind me of my mom and my family and special occasions, which makes me happy.  My mom would make these for us on Christmas morning and other holidays.  They were such a treat because we didn’t eat them that often.  Now that I am an adult and the cook in our family, we eat these in the same way. On holidays, or when we have company, or when we happen to have a lazy weekend day.  These are so delicious and Drew’s absolute favorite!! Her’e show to make gooey pecan rolls.

Gooey Pecan Rolls

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Spray bunt pan all over with cooking spray.
  3. Chop pecans and line the bottom of the pan.
  4. Cut softened dinner rolls rolls into fourths. TIP: Lay dinner rolls out ahead of time so they can thaw. If you pull these right out of the freezer, you can soften them in the microwave for a little bit. Add layer of rolls on top of pecans.
  5. Sprinkle dry pudding mix over the top of rolls.
  6. Melt butter and brown sugar together over the stove or in the microwave. Stir and pour evenly on top of rolls and pudding mix.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 30 minutes. You can check to see if the top rolls are doughy or not by taking a fork to them.
  8. Let rolls cool for about five minutes before placing a large plate on top and flipping the pan.

After these rolls get flipped, the presentation is so pretty! These gooey pecan rolls are a family staple at our house and they remind me of my childhood. I love being able to pass that along to my own kids. The mixture of brown sugar, pecans, butter, and pudding mix makes for a sweet breakfast treat your whole family (and guests) will love! XO
