I don’t love kitchen countertop clutter, but I do love functional spaces and making your space work for you! Somehow, I wanted to create a coffee space/system that was functional and simple, while still be visually appealing. Here I’ll show you how to create and organized coffee station with just a few chic pieces!
To preface, I’m the only coffee drinker in the family, but I do drink it from home every single morning! It’s part of my morning routine and I feel if you do something every single day, the process should work efficiently for you! I don’t have a fancy coffee maker, just a regular coffee pot.
What I Need:
Items I use every morning include a coffee maker, coffee grounds, coffee filters, collagen powder, a milk frother, creamer, and a coffee mug. I decided to put all of these items right near each other to make my mornings functional!
*I originally wrote this blog post in the winter. During the spring, summer, and fall months, I keep a countertop compost bin near the coffee station and put yesterday’s grounds in the bin! Read all about our composting journey here.*
How to Organize:
I started by adding this marble slab next to the coffee maker as a grounding station. We don’t use this section of the countertop to do anything, so I was okay adding items to it. Target had these canisters that I thought would be perfect to hold coffee grounds (the larger size) and collagen powder (small size). The milk frother gets stored upright in this bathroom cup straight from the bathroom section at Homegoods! It’s good to think outside the box!
The drawer right in front of this new coffee station holds coffee filters, collagen scoop (it was too big for the canister), hot cocoa, and tea. Our coffee maker also has a hot water dispenser on the side, which is perfect for making oatmeal, hot cocoa, tea, etc! I can easily grab my flavored creamer from the refrigerator which is directly to the right and my coffee mugs are in the cabinet directly above!
I used to walk to the pantry to grab coffee and now everything is right at my fingertips. When form meets function! This makes my organized heart so happy. It’s the little things for me! By adding a few new items and rearranging a few things, I’ve created an organized coffee station that makes my mornings smooth! XO
What collagen powder do you use?
I’ve been using Vital Proteins!
