I’ve shared our vintage bar cart numerous times on the internet and styled in many ways for many different seasons and times of the year! Today, I’m sharing how I styled the bar cart for winter. This bar cart is one of my favorite all time finds – I snagged it for $90 at an antique shop in the West Bottoms of Kansas City! The bar cart is three-tiered and huge and I love the brass and glass combo. I also love that it’s on wheels! Here’s how to style a winter bar cart.
Adding Seasonal Items
The bar cart sits in the dining room, right off the front door. Many things remain the same when I style it including the booze (obviously!), and the glassware. So, I mostly just switch up a few accessories. This year, for winter, I added this new JOY sign and this faux cedar wreath. The artwork is simply leaned against the window and the wreath is just resting on the corner of the art. Super easy!
This new lamp is really stunning and I’m kind of obsessed with it! I actually won it on an Instagram giveaway – yes!
Tinsel Garland Feels Festive!
In order to make this bar cart feel vintage and a little “extra”, I added a $4 tinsel garland. The garland feels festive to me – think Christmas, New Year’s Eve, and shiny for the winter months. Don’t we all need a little winter pick up come January and February?! I love the drama of letting it swag on the floor.
After Christmas, I will remove the brightly colored bottle brush trees, but I will leave the JOY sign, the wreath, and the tinsel. It makes me smile every time I walk by it!
I hope you enjoyed how to style a winter bar cart. A classic bar cart is festive in general, but even more so during the holidays. Cheers to a stocked bar cart! And the hope that we are able to host parties in 2021! XO
