The porch is decorated, candy has been purchased, costumes have been secured, and I finished up decorating our spooky Halloween mantel yesterday. We are officially ready for Halloween and it’s only October 8th – woo hoo! I don’t do a lot of indoor decorating for Halloween. Every year I purchase one or two new things, but I try to keep in centralized to one area to keep it easy. This year the mantel is black/white and super gaudy, which is super fun for me!
I’m not sure how anyone is actually going to watch TV around all this gaudiness! Ha! Halloween is such fun to decorate for and as the kids get older it’s fun to create a spooky Halloween mantel! And as you can see below, I don’t spend a lot of money on these decorations! I will be sharing my Halloween porch soon!
Black Vase – Target
Black Roses – Dollar Tree
Skull Garland – Homegoods
Spider Web – Homegoods
Large Skull – Target
Creepy Cloth – Dollar Tree
Adhesive bats – Target
Metallic Skull – Homegoods
Insane Asylum Sign – Dollar Tree
Small Glitter Skulls – Dollar Tree
Gold Candlesticks – Thrifted
Candlesticks – Dollar Tree, Hobby Lobby
Spider – Dollar Tree
The black and white striped candles are just cheap white candles with electrical tape taped around them. This is my super simple DIY solution to add a little interest!

Oh your mantle is fabulous! I feel as though I need that insane asylum decor myself. 🙂
