Happy Friday! This weekend, we are taking the kids back to our college town for a football game. We take them every year and tailgate with family and it’s always a great time. We are all looking forward to it, despite it not quite feeling like football weather yet (90 degrees still)! Now that the calendar has turned to September, I have started to get into fall mode. I washed up the chalk wall and created our 2015 fall bucket list. I have been doing a summer & fall list on this chalk wall for several years, and it’s one of my kid’s favorite things. Mom loves it too!
What to Add to the Fall Bucket List
I always add everything in the hopes we get to it or not. Of course, we add all things Kansas City. Sports, travel, all the fall things! Is fall not the best time of year?
Chalk + Decor
I’m not an artist but I like to add some fun to the chalk wall. It’s different every season and I usually try to get some inspiration from Pinterest. The kids like to fill in the little boxes when we’ve completed something. Some of the items are ongoing. It’s just a fun, visual way to sort of prepare the season and have things to look forward to! I use cheap sidewalk chalk!
I hope you all have some fun things planned for fall too! We don’t ever get to all of the things on our lists, but it provides a good blueprint to work from.Â

Oh wow, I love that wall, what a fantasic idea. Looks like you have some awesome plans that are fun too. Can't wait to see the tours.
I found your blog over the summer and quickly realized, like myself, you are a KC resident! I didn't realize until now you are also a Hawkeye! Pretty jealous you get to tailgate in IC this weekend, though my hopes aren't too high for a successful season. And also super weird…my son starts preschool on Tuesday (he seems to be one of the last around here) and we met his teachers yesterday. I can't help but wonder if that's where you teach because I saw an SUV in the parking lot with an Iowa licence plate holder. I know it's a slim chance, but hmmmm…. Enjoy your long weekend and school year!
