Drew’s Pre-Kindergarten class is currently studying bugs. We were due to bring snacks this week, so I thought it was a good opportunity to make something simple and cute. I’m all about a good theme for preschool kids! It’s the only time when you can bring in homemade snacks. Here’s how to make butterfly snacks for kids.
Items Needed to Make Butterfly Snacks
All you need for these butterfly snacks is a wooden clip, ziplock bag, pipe cleaners, a marker, and snacks! We decided to go with grapes on one side, mixed cereal on the other side. You could use whatever you have on hand to fill the “wings”. To embellish the wooden clips, we used markers to make color them and make a little happy face. Next we curled pipe cleaners and adhered them to the back of the clip using hot glue. Most images on Pinterest show these snacks with googly eyes, but I skipped this step!
Such a fun way to spruce up a snack at home or at school! These are colorful and went with the theme. I love something homemade.
I hope you enjoyed how to make these adorable snacks for kids. Get your kids in on the action and have them help! Your butterfly snacks are sure to be a hit! XO
