We host football watch parties on Sundays often and it’s a good opportunity for me make tried and true recipes I know our group likes. It’s also a great opportunity for me to try new recipes I have pinned over the years. Because it’s fall and it’s been cloudy and cold lately, I thought I would try an apple dip. This is super easy to pull together and no bake. I made ahead of time and had it chilling in the refrigerator to pull out when everyone arrived. Here’s how to make an easy cream cheese caramel apple dip. I always joke that everything I make has a brick of cream cheese in it, and this is no exception!
How to Make an Easy Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip
Ingredients
- 1 brick softened cream cheese
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- toffee bits
- caramel sauce I used store bought because I’m a semi-homemade kind of gal
- dippers apples, graham crackers, pretzels, etc
Instructions
- Soften cream cheese and combine cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Mix until fully combined. I just used a silicone spatula, no need for a hand mixer.
- Spread cream cheese mixture into a 9″ pie plate.
- Heat up store bought caramel sauce for about 20 seconds in microwave so it spreads easily. Spread a layer on top of the cream cheese mixture.
- Sprinkle toffee bits on top of caramel sauce. You could add other toppings here (chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, chopped peanuts, chopped pecans, etc). I just stuck with toffee chips (find in the baking aisle).
- Chill in fridge until ready to serve! You won’t need to worry about leftovers because there won’t be any!
What to Serve with Cream Cheese Caramel Apple Dip
The obvious answer here is apples! We love honey crisp apples and they are cheap this time of year! I also set out some pretzel thins to cut the sweet of this dip. Both were equally delicious. You could also serve any other fruit or graham crackers. This dip did not last long! Perfect for fall get togethers!
I will definitely be making this dip again! You get the taste of caramel apples with the mess. And this is much easier to eat. XO
