My husband installed some new black woven pendant lights in the kitchen! We have lived in our home for going on 6.5 years. Initially, when we first moved into our home, we picked out two inexpensive industrial pendants and I liked them for a long time. I just decided I needed a change. It’s a syndrome over here! I wanted something with texture and I wanted something large scale and dramatic. Because I like to change things often, I didn’t want to spend a ton of money.
For whatever reason, I’m always drawn to World Market’s lighting options. I loved the scale of these large woven pendants! I thought two next to each other could be really eye-catching and dramatic against our white kitchen.
I’m obsessed with how they look! Making a large change that doesn’t cost a lot is what we love! I think they compliment the dark hardware on the cabinets, they are casual, and add so much texture to the space! Black and white will never tire in my opinion!
The shades themselves don’t come with a light kit, but World Market also sells these for under $15. My husband has changed so many light fixtures in 15 years of marriage and 4 different homes that I’m lucky I don’t have a pay an electrician when I want to change things up! We added Edison bulbs since you can really see into the light fixture, and we wanted something appealing to the eye. They don’t put off a ton of light, but it’s not needed for us. We have a lot of recessed lighting in our kitchen and under cabinet lights, so having our pendant lights really bright was not a need of ours.
What do you think? They also have a natural color in this same style! And let’s take a moment to admire those peonies cut from the yard! Is there anything better in May?!
I think these black woven pendant lights in the kitchen are perfect for changing things up. These would look so good on their own as well, in any room, over a dining table, in a kids room, really anywhere! They are really versatile and pack a punch for not a lot of money! XO

Love them. I agree, it makes a dramatic change to the kitchen.
