Every time I share these on Instagram stories, I get asked how to make. So, now there is a permanent spot! I started making these hot tea drinks several years ago and it’s always my go-to in the colder months. Many people know and drink these medicine ball teas when they are sick or have a sore throat or cough, hence the “medicine” title. My husband and I like to drink these just because they taste good and have a lot of flavor! Here is how to make a Starbucks medicine ball tea at home.

When I first started making these, I used Teavana Jade Citrus Mint tea. It’s hard to find and almost non-existent anymore. There are several other mint tea options (linked).
Medicine Ball Tea Ingredients
- Mint tea bag
- Peach tea bag
- Small amount of Lemonade or lemonade packet or fresh lemon juice
- Honey
- Lemon slice (if you’re feeling fancy!)

How to Make a Medicine Ball Tea at Home
- Add water and a small amount of whatever kind of “lemon” you like to a mug. This could be fresh squeezed lemon, lemonade (seen here), or I know people use the True Lemon Lemonade mix packets.
- Microwave to desired temperature (I usually do 3 minutes). Obviously you could add boiling water instead of microwaving, but I do this for ease.
- Steep one mint tea bag and one peach tea bag in the water/lemon mix for desired amount of time.
- Squeeze out excess from tea bags and add a little honey. Stir and enjoy!

You can adjust sweetness accordingly, but this is the general way to make a Starbucks medicine ball tea at home. Save yourself some money and make this drink at home! I linked several different mint and peach teas so you can find ones you like. XO
