The past few years I have been gifting my neighbors some small Christmas gifts along with some homemade baked goods. These gifts are no-waste and are practical and usable! And as an added bonus, they don’t break the bank and the items are easy to gather and assemble. Here’s how to create a simple holiday hostess gift.
Items Needed for Hostess Gift
For the past two years, I have purchased a tea towel, one of my favorite hand soaps, and ribbon. These are easy to throw in your cart times however many you are going to make. This is also easy to customize! I chose two hand soaps that we use in our home and are my favorite. It’s an added little touch. For the towels, you can choose anything! These change from year to year in stores.
How to Assemble
This basically needs no explanation! Simply wrap your soap in the towel and secure the top with a festive ribbon. One year I did a bright Falala towel, this soap, and some red velvet ribbon. Another year I used a black and white tea towel (linked similar), Iowa pine soap (we are Iowa people), and a black and white ribbon.
I enjoy giving practical gifts that don’t create a lot of clutter for the receiver. Of course, this would be perfect for a teacher, neighbor, friend, hostess gift, etc! I hope you are inspired by how to create a simple holiday hostess gift. XO
