Creating spaces in our home that feel cozy and special is so important to me. Home creates a mood for those who live there. I always strive to create inviting spaces that feel collected and lived in. One way to incorporate warmth and coziness is by adding a small lamp in the kitchen.
Before our recent kitchen renovation, I always had a small lamp on the countertop and one on the built-in buffet in the vicinity of the kitchen. I just added another one making the total three in the space! Here’s how to add small lamps in the kitchen.
Where to Add Small Lamps
These lamps are so small, they fit underneath standard cabinets and shelves. They just add a little something extra! I have added one to a large marble tray that holds my stovetop accessories (see above). It does not get dirty! When I cook, I like having that little extra light nearby. I hide the cords behind a decorative cutting board and it works perfectly!
I added a lamp to a tray on our built-in buffet. It makes the large piece look and feel more cozy. It draws you into it. In this case, I also hid the lamp cord behind a decorative cutting board.
Lastly, I added a small lamp underneath our new floating shelves. We don’t have under cabinet lighting over in this corner, so it helps with that. I love turning these lamps on in the morning and at night! It’s so frustrating when the time changes and it gets dark so early. These tiny lamps are a great solution to bring some ambient lighting to your kitchen.
Where to Purchase a Small Lamp
I have linked several small lamps here for under $20! For this price you can afford to put them everywhere! Think a bathroom vanity, a powder bathroom, on a bar cart, on a desk, etc. The possibilities are endless!
This seems super simple because it is! I’m all about small changes or adds that can help create a mood and a cozy vibe in our home. Adding a small lamp in the kitchen is one way to make your space feel a little more special! XO
