I wanted to share a few photos and give some details about the World Market Everett Foyer table. Also, I want to give details on how to hide lamp cords that sit on that table. We’ve had the foyer table in our home since 2017, and will probably have it for as long as we own this house! It works well in our space and the design feels timeless. I’m all about functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture pieces. The table is marketed as a foyer table, but we use it as a sofa table behind our living room sofa. This piece is so versatile, I can see it being used in many ways! Here’s the Everett Foyer Table Review and How to Hide Lamp Cords.
I think this foyer table might be the most pinned item from World Market and the reviews are excellent! And for good reason, I think! It’s classic, and I think it can go modern or rustic or whichever way your house leans.
Where to Place a Foyer Table
When we finished our basement in 2017, we moved our leather furniture down and purchased a new sofa. This led us to researching and purchasing this sofa table. It’s long and sits right at the top of the sofa. It’s also very narrow, which I like because it doesn’t take up a lot of floor space. We have a very open concept first floor. This table basically sits right in the middle, between the great room and the kitchen. If you are a long time reader, you will remember I had a white thrifted dresser in this space when we first moved in. That piece has now found it’s way to Kate’s room!
Cost and Assembly
We purchased the table when it was already on sale, then used another coupon on top of it. I think we got it at the cheapest price we could have, right around $220. It originally sells for $329, which is still a great price! The table comes sold in a box, and assembly is required. Steve was able to knock out the build quickly.
Another thing I like about this table is that it doesn’t show dust! The wood tone and grain makes it hard for me to even know when it needs dusted! It also has two small drawers that we use to hold miscellaneous cords and remotes, as well as cards and small games.
For styling, I like the function of having two lamps on the table. We literally turn these on every single night. I love having light in the middle of the large open space. I found two textured baskets to place on the bottom shelf. You could absolutely use this space for storage if you needed it…blankets, kid toys, etc! We like to be able to see into the living room from the kitchen, so I keep coffee table books and some decorative items in between the lamps. Things get shuffled around on here!
Hiding Lamp Cords
Because I like to keep lamps here, I get asked where I plug them in. The cords on the white lamps are white. They hang down behind the foyer table and the white fringe baskets help conceal them. Our sofa is also a light color, so it all blends in well. The white cords then get plugged into an extension cord on the floor that is dark brown, which is the same color as the hardwood floors. This cord is concealed from the bottom shelf on the foyer table. That extension cord then runs underneath the sofa and plugs into the wall to the left of the table. The dark brown blends into the hardwoods floors and it’s not a main walkthrough space, so it works! You could also pay an electrician to add outlets into your floor. We just never felt the need to do it.
I hope this gives you a closer look and answers some questions about the Everett Foyer Table if you are considering purchasing! Be sure to follow along on Instagram! XO
Love this table. I am looking for a console table and this one is gorgeous in your room. Love the way you have styled it too.
