As the summer comes to a close, I wanted to share and review our new outdoor furniture set from Walmart and give you my take on it. I’m a Walmart shopper. I just am and I make no apologies about it! We have one near our home and it’s in a nice area and it’s clean and stocked and they have self check out, so I take full advantage of that! This set is from, of all places, WALMART!
We purchased the 4-piece set which includes the sofa, (2) side chairs, and the coffee table. The Hawthorn collection also has individual pieces, including separate sofa/coffee table, separate (2) piece chair set, chaise lounge, and deck box. We went with the 4-piece set for one price of $548! What a steal! Here is a pic of us “trying it out” with the tags still on! Ha!
I saw this built and set up in my store and I was able to sit in it and really look it over. I absolutely loved it for the price! The construction is sturdy, the color is neutral, and you get 4 pieces plus the cushions for $550! Great deal considering most outdoor furniture is double or triple that! We have spent SO MUCH time out here this summer! It’s my favorite new spot to drink coffee, have a drink at night, read, and just lounge around!
The only piece I was unsure of was the beige colored cushions. I was hoping for something a little more modern, but decided to just make the surrounding items modern and fun. Then I added this geometric rug and black and white and a pop of blue to balance out the more traditional color of the furniture and the cushions. I absolutely love how this space turned out! It’s not fussy and it’s comfortable and casual, just how we like to live!
The sofa cushions are thick and are easy to clean with a little soap and water. I do think the fabric is a tad on the scratchy side, but nothing that is bothersome. I’m think over time it will start to soften. I also wasn’t sure about the coffee table color, but now I love it! The size is perfect, it’s heavy and sturdy and it’s just the perfect neutral table to set drinks and food and flowers!
One of the main selling features for us (besides price) was the fact that the sofa is extremely long. It sits three comfortably and has three cushions across. This suits my tall husband when he wants to lay/lounge. The chairs are super comfortable too, with arm rests and a little higher back. We added round poufs to add comfort for lounging when someone is siting in the chairs.
