Life Love Larson

Fall Home Tour (2015)

Hello, happy Friday, and welcome to the Life Love Larson fall home tour (2015)! If you are visiting from Designing on the Side, I’m happy you are here! A big thank you to Marty from A Stroll Thru Life for hosting this tour. We are nearing the end of the week and the end of the tour, and I hope you have a chance to check out all 30 homes and are finding some good inspiration!

I’m not particularly drawn to traditional fall colors. But,  I’ve tried to incorporate texture, layers, greenery, and fresh flowers to add warmth. Making our home feel cozy as the temperatures start to drop is a huge priority. Transitioning into fall in our home is fun because it means football, bonfires, pumpkins, and jeans are all on their way. Welcome to our home!

Dining Room

I’m crushing on everything blush colored right now. These pillows found their way to the dining room. Along with some fresh greenery, leopard print runner and touches of gold. This speaks to me in a non-traditional fall kind of way. I’m a believer in decorating with what you love, no matter the season! Clipped stems from the yard add freshness to the bar cart.

Kitchen

I like to keep it simple in the kitchen. Fresh stems, herbs, and some apples are about as fall as this kitchen is getting! It’s all about the colors and texture for me.

Eating Nook

We live in Kansas, so incorporating sunflowers into this tour was a must (we are the sunflower state)! I also LOVE baskets and trays, and move them around frequently. They bring great texture to any space and I love to put plants in them too! We are also known for wheat in Kansas, so I have incorporated some throughout the sitting area and living room. You can never go wrong with a black and white stripe anything…always in season. And even though it’s fall, I’m not losing my pops of pink!

Office Space

When my husband isn’t traveling for work, he works from home. We share an office space, and love how light and bright it is. Steve’s side is boring and “workish” and mine is bright and colorful! Ha! I added this patterned tray to bring in some depth. Inexpensive eucalyptus, terra cotta, and a fall screen saver brings a little bit of fall to this otherwise bright space.

Porch

I made this yarn/felt wreath last year and loved it enough to use it again this year. For September, I like to add some mums and some texture and height with tree stumps. It’s still hot here in September, so I still like our porch to feel bright and cheerful with touches of fall. I’ll add pumpkins in a few weeks, and love to decorate the porch for Halloween!

Mudroom

Our mudroom got a pillow swap out, the kid’s seasonal artwork hangs in here, and our chalkboard wall always gets a fall bucket list. Function meets fun in this room!

Living Room

I’ve added some navy and gold pillows to this space, as well as whites and neutrals, and more fresh stems (can you tell I have a thing for plants)?!?! We have a gas fireplace, but adding logs in a white washed basket adds warmth and texture. I also switch out summer throw blankets with cozier and heavier ones in shades of grey/white. Gold accents and candles are easy and inexpensive ways to add fall touches too!

I guess that was a photo overload! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed our fall home tour (2015). Don’t forget to visit Tidbits and Twine for the final stop on the tour! I hope you and your families enjoy all things fall in the coming weeks and months! Please comment or email if you would like sources for any items in the photos! xo
