In keeping up with my pledge to purge/organize/clean something every day in the month of January, it came time to work on my makeup drawer. I threw out a few items, wiped everything down, and cleaned my makeup brushes. This was way overdue! Here’s how to easily clean makeup brushes using baby shampoo.
Items Needed
- brushes
- baby shampoo
- towel
How to Clean Makeup Brushes
- First, add a small amount of baby wash into your palm.
- Run your brush under water for a few seconds to get it wet.
- Start swirling the brush into your palm and you will start to see makeup coming off.
- Once you feel the brush is clean, run it under water a final time.
- Lay the brushes on a towel to dry overnight.
The next day, the brushes were so soft, and clean! A good time to do this is right before bed when you know you won’t need the brushes until morning. This is simple enough to do often.
