I keep extra ribbon in a little drawer in my desk space. This is useful for packages, to make bows on wreaths, etc. This is what jumped out at me when I opened the drawer the other day! I thought it was time to tackle this project. Here is an easy way to store ribbon.
Items Needed
The only thing you will need for this organizational project is clothespins. That’s it! Simply wrap ribbon and secure the end with a clothespin. So much of my stash is loose ribbon that is already off the wooden spool, so this is an easy way to keep it from tangling up with the other ribbon pieces.
You can buy a pack of clothespins at Dollar Tree for (you guessed it) $1. Or you can purchase a pack here. Just roll and clip and enjoy being able to see what you have! Rolling and clipping frees up so much space and it’s easy to grab.
It’s the little things, right?! UPDATE 2023: I moved this stash of ribbon to a clear plastic bin to free up this drawer for other things. The clothespin method is still going strong for all these years! This is such an easy way to store ribbon. Find other organizational tips and tricks here! XO

It's like an aha moment to use clothespins to keep your ribbon rolled up. I always tape my ends which is a pain to get off and sometimes it unravels the ends of my ribbon. Thanks for the tip!!
you are a genius! such a great idea…thanks for sharing!
