How to Make a DIY Felt Pizza Busy Bag

I made each of my kids a busy bag a few weeks back.  We had just found our new public library and my kids sat and played “pizza shop” for about 20 straight minutes in the play area.  I knew I had to get home and make some pizzas!  They love taking my order, creating the pizza, “sticking it in the oven”, and then serving it to me. Here’s how to make a DIY felt pizza busy bag.

Supplies Needed for Felt Pizza Busy Bag

The only supplies needed for this project are different colors of felt and a pair of scissors. That’s it!

Creating the Pizza Pieces

Simply cut a large circle (crust) out of light brown felt and a little smaller circle in red to make the sauce.  Then, start to cut ingredients with your different colors.  I made pepperoni, red bell pepper, meatballs, cheese, pineapple, banana peppers, broccoli, mushrooms, and sausage.

Once finished, let your kids go to town and be creative! I love imaginative play. This also helps with fine motor skills, colors, etc!

All your supplies fit nicely into a Ziploc bag for easy pick up and storage!

We also made one to give to my niece and nephew last time we visited.  I hope this was helpful in how to make a DIY felt pizza busy bag. This would also be a great activity for young kids to play with at a pizza party! XO
