Ideas for Halloween Porch Decor

T-7 days until Halloween! My kids are so excited! Soon enough they will be “too old” for cheesy Halloween decorations and trick-or-treating, so I will cherish these years when it’s all so fun for them. Much to my kid’s dismay, we don’t really do anything “scary” on our porch, but we do try to “decorate” and make it festive every year. Here are some ideas for Halloween porch decor.

Those huge Costco mums are starting to wither away, but I’m just convincing myself that’s all a part of the October appeal. The striped witch legs (Target) and witch brooms (Tuesday Morning) got “stuck” in them this year!

Skeletons, Spiders, and Bats

I like to put this skeleton witch on the front door. She constantly blows in the breeze, which I love. The bat decals (Target) are super easy to peel and stick for a little added touch on the windows.

And don’t forget the plastic spiders (Dollar Tree)!

I couldn’t pass up this interactive doorbell! An electrician came to the house the other day and he actually rang this one instead of the real one…it was so fun! It’s easy to attach to the glass on the door with Command strips.

Lighting

We keep string lights on our porch all year, set on a timer. They look especially good this time of year!

Creepy Cloth

I strung yards and yards of creepy cloth across this porch this year too. It’s an inexpensive way to add some whimsy and drama! Simply add some nails behind the overhang and attached the cloth.

I love, love, love how a Halloween porch looks at dusk.

We are heading out of town for a long weekend, but will be back for the big day. The kids are dressing up as James Bond and a baby this year. I hope you enjoyed some ideas for Halloween porch decor! xo
